88 వ శ్లోకము

🌴. పశు ప్రవృత్తులపై అదుపునకు, క్రూర జంతువుల వశ్యత కొరకు 🌴

శ్లో: 88. పదం తే కీర్తీనాం ప్రపదమపదం దేవి విపదాం కథం నీతం సద్భిః కఠిన కమఠీకర్పరతులాం కథం వా పాణిభ్యా ముపయమనకాలే పురభిదా యదాదాయ న్యస్తం దృషది దయామానేన మనసా ll 

🌷. తాత్పర్యం : 
అమ్మా! పార్వతీ ! కీర్తులకు నెలవయిన ఆపదలను దరి చేర నీయని నీ పాదముల పై భాగమును కవి శ్రేష్ఠులు తాబేలు వీపు చిప్పతో ఎట్లు పోల్చినారు? వివాహ సమయమున దయకలిగిన హృదయము కల ఈశ్వరుడు తన చేతులతో ఎత్తి సన్నికల్లు మీద ఎట్లు ఉంచినాడు?

🌻. జప విధానం – నైవేద్యం:–
ఈ శ్లోకమును 1000 సార్లు ప్రతి రోజు 6 నెలలు జపం చేస్తూ, పాయసము, పండ్లు , కొబ్బరికాయ నివేదించినచో స్వీయ పశు ప్రవృత్తులపై అదుపు, క్రూర జంతువుల వశ్యత, సమస్యల మీద అదుపు లభించును అని చెప్పబడింది.

🌴 Making wild Beasts Obey 🌴

88. Padham the kirhtinam prapadham apadham Devi vipadham Katham nitham sadbhih kutina-kamati-karpara-thulam; Katham vaa bahubhyam upayamana-kaale purabhida Yad adhaya nyastham drshadi daya-manena manasa.

🌻 Translation : 
Oh, goddess devi,how did the poets compare,the foreside of your merciful feet,which are the source of fame to your devotees,and which are not the source of danger to them,to the hard shell of tortoise,i do not understand. how did he who destroyed the three cities,take them in his hand, and place them on hard rock, during your marriage?

🌻 It denotes a customary rite in Hindu marriage called asmarohanam

🌻 Chanting procedure and Nivedhyam (offerings to the Lord) : 
If one chants this verse 1000 times a day for 6 months, offering milk payasam, coconut and fruits as prasadam, it is believed that one can get control over own lower nature, control over troubles and can overcome fear of wild animals and bring them under our control.

🌻 BENEFICIAL RESULTS: 
Controlling wild animals, freedom from troubles and prosperity.
